CONCLUSIONS
1.- RENALOF is an eminently natural preparation with a 100% tolerance. During the whole period of administration, we have not observed any adverse effect in the treated group.
2.- Although the aims of the study where designed for a sort period of administration (30 days), there are elements which suggest two significant beneficial effects which could be achieved with longer periods of treatments:
- We believe that the prophylactic treatment of 30 days every six months applied to patients with different types of lithiasis and with a history of lithiasis could manage to prevent relapses.
- There are signs which suggest that a longer treatment (3-6 months) with the preparation RENALOF, might have the effect of reducing the calcareous mass in the case of voluminous lithiasis.
3.- Of the elements taken into account in the present study, the most important benefits achieved with the administration of RENALOF are the following:
- With its mild, soothing diuretic effect, RENALOF helps the RAPID ELIMINATION of small and medium-sized ureteral calculi.
- RENALOF represents a very efficient treatment of pyelo-calicial lithiasis with calculi of up to 5-6 mm, permiting the dissolution and elimination of these.
- RENALOF has an excellent anti-inflammatory effect. It is soothing and alleviates pain in the urinary tracts irritated by chronic urinary lithiasis. The same properties are noticed in the other inflammations of the urinary tract.
- RENALOF represents a prophylactic treatment for patients with a predisposition to lithogenesis in general and to oxalic lithogenesis in particular.
- RENALOF represents a particulary efficient complementary treatment in patients who benefit from extra-corporeal lithotripsy, managing to rapidly and painlessly eliminate the fragments which remain after lithotripsy.
